My art emanates from an intimate celebration of life, predominantly capturing the essence of living beings. My affinity for the human form gracefully extends to masterful animal portraits; they transcend mere physical form; they stir emotions and invite an immersive dialogue between the observer and the art – a tapestry of feelings – testament to my art’s captivating allure. Whether it is the quiet strength of the cheetah or the subtle vulnerability of a human gesture, my goal is to make stillness feel alive.
How it all came to be…
Profound love for the natural world
I have been sculpting since 2017. I have always had a passion for art and sculpture in particular. I have History of Art as a major in my primary Bachelor’s s degree but have not had any formal University training in sculpture.
I am basically self taught but have been fortunate to have been tutored and guided by some very talented sculptors in the UK. I am grateful to Ms V Adamson, Ms Rosamund Tracy de Kelly and some inspiring tutors at Heatherleys Art School in Chelsea, London. They have all played, and continue to play, very valuable roles in helping me establish a worthy style.
Nestled in an enchanting walled garden in Sherborne, Gloucestershire, my studio serves as the cradle for my artistic expression – a place where imagination takes tangible form – a place of calm – a place when and where I can experiment and spend too long….. often.
