Description
I met Theresa at art school in London. I completed her portrait piece over a number of days just before the Summer break. I took her home to prepare her for the firing process as I wanted to present her as raw ceramic. I was working in my studio with her when I was disturbed and had to leave the studio for a few minutes. She was on my turntable. Quite happy. As I left, I looked at her and said, “Right, Theresa, just stay where you are.” She didn’t listen.
On my return, she was not on the turntable – but flat on the floor. I could only save half of her lovely face, so she’s now a one-sided piece – looking at us from the Livingroom wall.! I love her – looking quirky and interesting – a lovely, ceramic, unique piece. Lessons learnt every day!
